The Main Menu of Texas CARES is the starting point for all of the exploration tools you'll find within. You can enter the
World of Work or the
World of Learning, view videos about occupations or general career information at the
Video Station, and find additional related information on the internet in
Related Links.
There are also five star-shaped Command Buttons, which enable you to navigate Texas CARES. The buttons allow you to access help (
?), show you where you are in the program (
W), print reports (
P), go back to the previous screen (
<) or return to the main menu (
M). Place your mouse over each button to see a description of the command being performed. These navigation buttons are available on most screens (except reports, help and pop-ups).
If you move your mouse towards the right side of the screen a
Tips panel will appear. This hidden help, which offers quick tips on the contents of the current screen or how to use its features, is available on most screens.
Towards the bottom of the main panel is a place to type your name. While this is optional, it allows Texas CARES to customize your reports with your name, which helps personalize your printed output.
